Natalie Close is a visual anthropologist and artist based in Finland. Having lived, worked and travelled across Africa, Asia and Europe, she draws inspiration from animals, nature, places and the small details of everyday life. Working primarily with linocut, her work is characterised by clean lines, strong forms and bold colour.

Living in Finland, the landscapes and wildlife of the Nordic region remain a recurring influence, alongside impressions gathered from her travels and life further afield.
