About this piece
Texas Longhorn is an original hand-printed linocut inspired by the distinctive form and character of the Texas Longhorn. Its remarkably long, sweeping horns form the center of a simple black-and-white composition, bringing the animal's striking silhouette into focus through clean lines and strong contrasts.
Natalie begins with her own drawing before transferring the design to lino and carving it by hand. Each impression is individually printed using a hand press and artist-quality Charbonnel ink on 160 gsm A4 paper.
Because every impression is printed by hand, subtle variations in tone and impression are natural. These differences form part of the character of original printmaking and make each impression individually produced.
Texas Longhorn is supplied unframed and unmounted.
Packaging
Each print is protected in a vegetable-based, eco-friendly cellophane wrapper and posted in a recycled cardboard envelope.
