About this piece
Red Lobster is a vibrant hand-printed linocut inspired by one of the most distinctive creatures of the sea. Its strong shape and bold red colour give the piece a simple, graphic quality, with a natural connection to the coast and seaside.
Natalie begins with her own drawing before transferring the design to lino and carving the image by hand. Each impression is then individually printed using a hand press and artist-quality Charbonnel ink on 160 gsm A4 paper.
Because every impression is printed by hand, small variations in colour, tone and impression are natural. These subtle differences are part of the character of the printmaking process and make each print individually produced.
Red Lobster is produced as a limited edition of 100 and is supplied unframed.
Packaging
Each print is protected in a vegetable-based, eco-friendly cellophane wrapper and posted in a recycled cardboard envelope.
