About this piece
Curiosity is a playful hand-printed linocut inspired by the spirit of curiosity that resides in all of us. A small mouse pauses before an unexpected flash of yellow, captured through a simple silhouette, clean lines and a restrained use of colour.
Natalie begins with her own drawing before transferring the design to lino and carving the image by hand. Each impression is then individually printed using a hand press and artist-quality Charbonnel ink on 160 gsm A4 paper.
Because every impression is printed by hand, small variations in colour, tone and impression are natural. These subtle differences are part of the character of the printmaking process and make each print individually produced.
Curiosity is produced as a limited edition of 50 and is supplied unframed.
Packaging
Each print is protected in a vegetable-based, eco-friendly cellophane wrapper and posted in a recycled cardboard envelope.
